StintFrequently asked questions
A graphical recreation of a game's boxscore: a margin chart showing how the lead changed throughout the game, plus every player's "stints" (continuous stretches on the court) with their stats and plus/minus for that exact stretch, and each team's lineup-by-lineup plus/minus.
Every page is generated from the official NBA/WNBA gamebook — the same play-by-play and box score document the league itself publishes after each game. Nothing here is estimated or simulated; substitutions, scores, and stats are read directly from that source.
New games are pulled in automatically once a day. If a game finished last night, its page should appear here within a day.
Occasionally the league hasn't posted the gamebook yet, or a game's text comes through in a format the parser doesn't recognize. Missing games get logged and looked at — if something's been absent for a while, that's worth flagging.
Nothing yet. Access is open while the archive is being built out and the numbers are still being validated game by game.
Stint is intended to become a paid subscription. Reconstructing every game from its gamebook takes real work and real hosting, and a subscription is the honest way to fund that — it keeps the site answerable to the people reading it rather than to advertisers. Pricing and timing haven't been set, and anyone using Stint now will get plenty of notice before anything changes.
If you find it useful in the meantime and want to help cover costs, you can buy me a coffee — entirely optional, and hugely appreciated.
No. This is an independent fan project built on top of publicly published official gamebooks.
